MasenkoSamurai46 said: I won't deny the insane level of talent and artistry present here, but one of the most important parts about old "Looney Tunes" animation is that it's extremely readable. I've gone through several threads and it seems like a lot of people had no idea what was happening during this scene, myself included. I mean 0:14-0:20 alone is visual nonsense. I don't think it should take several rewatches to understand what's happening in a cut, and there are plenty of examples of cuts that are insane and ridiculous but also easy to read.
Again its weird and experimental and its beautiful in that way, but imo it doesn't entirely work
Disagree, this absolutely has barely any readability, have the boars being responsible for this or what, but you cannot literally blatantly say it isn't and ignore how convoluted everything literally is. The scene was really impressive, but incredibly incohesive.
The running here honestly feels more weighty, while still maintaining that intentional speediness K1RO does with his running. Did the final product look “bad” cause of the not so great backgrounds?

(This means stop replying to this, if that wasn't explicit enough.)
Kiyotaka Takezawa animated the whole scene but Hiroaki Takagi cleaned his rough LO for the first cut, at 6s and at 15s as well.
The Snarl (bark out) effects at 15s until 18s are added effects by Yusuke Oshida supervising this scene, though the last cut at 18s was almost unmodified.

Yuugen did genga at 7s until 8s, and both did LO only for everything else.

To get back to Oshida, he mainly supervised the action scenes in this episode:
