Dorian LO and Mephisto genga. Mephisto's tweet said he did LO/genga on the episode and included his genga for 0:33, which confused me when I initially commented on the parent post. That comment has since been corrected.

I think you meant key-frames? It looks like they used cacani, a computer inbetweening program. Slow-mo shots require a ton of inbetweening to achieve the desired effect

I think he means to say that most of the fluidity in the slow-mo was the result of the number of drawings made by Dorian himself, as opposed to the in-betweener.
MerrBear said: They're animation tests from earlier in the production. Essentially scenes that got cut due to scripting changes (happened A LOT in this movie)
Yes and no. The main goal for these tests was to establish how the characters move and emote, which the team could then use going forward. Even if some of the tests were specific to something that got cut, I'm sure they were still helpful or had an influence
I designed Erzsebet's gown for Castlevania Nocturne! She's such a monumental figure, almost architectural, and I wanted to bring that into her clothing by drawing on baroque construction. Erzsebet's incredible base design is by Samuel Deats
