They're animation tests from earlier in the production. Essentially scenes that got cut due to scripting changes (happened A LOT in this movie)

Yes and no. The main goal for these tests was to establish how the characters move and emote, which the team could then use going forward. Even if some of the tests were specific to something that got cut, I'm sure they were still helpful or had an influence
