The timing is the first thing that popped into my head when I first noticed that this was Shida Naotoshi. It's immaculate.

Also, you can so tell this is a Nishio Daisuke storyboard thanks to how he throws the characters into the screen.
I'm surprised this hadn't been added to the Booru earlier.

It was one of the first things I added when I joined, but I got super lazy when doing it. Couldn't be bothered to rip my disc, recorded my screen, then was too lazy to crop the black bars off. It got deleted and I forgot about it.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Now Wes comes along and saves us all.
Loved the old Dragon Ball character designs with their appealing curves over the angular, sharp Dragon Ball Z designs. The golden era has to be from the Tao Pai Pai saga to the 1st Vegita saga. After that it story and animation suffered. It lost its connection to Chinese mythology and traditional kung fu and became about aliens that were so powerful it lessened the stakes and flattened the drama.
even back then you could feel his distinctive push/pull timing, he hasn't changed his foundation all that much, just made prettier skins.

Yep, tho I prefer his older and rougher outputs... his shading is beautiful, but it's time consuming and limiting... I really miss cuts like these :/
