Still new to Animating, seeing the letters and numbers written next to the drawing... what does it mean?

I might be wrong here but, I believe that would be where the corrections to the drawings were made.

Letter = Drawing Layer
Number = Drawing No.
Chart = In-between Guide
X = Blank space/Instruction to not fill in with color

This is white paper, so likely genga, but given how on model the characters are it may be after corrections were given to the animator
