Mitani mentioned that her fancy walk into the classroom wasn't in the storyboard, it was his own flair for the scene. It's the kind of comedic movement through 3D space he's used multiple times before so it was no surprise, but it was particularly fitting for the character.

And yeah, will miss his work a lot :( I hope he eventually returns to anime.
