Now this is super interesting to me.

the overhead cut with the tricky layout, almost feels like an early prototype for Adachi's more grounded hand-to-hand combat that he'd become known for in the early 2000's. could be wrong, but could be his work.

the subtle BG animation could mean Sakazaki did something here too.
Those splices between shots are really distracting, but that was the nature of editing on anime shows back then they were shot on 16mm film.
