Yo. Give a Berserk licence to THIS team
Actually how are they animating these designs so consistently.
well FromSoft referenced Guts from Artorias, so technically this is guts I guess
I think it's telling that this armor only showed up once in the whole show. So many lines to draw but damn they made it look good.

Yeah I know, I just think that the design plus the blue/purple coloring brought my brain to Artorias first lol

More than likely some level of 3d is used then drawn over in cases like that
why take away from something so impressive
there is no 3d backbone/skeleton here ,the animator is just someone capable of handling complex designs

also how the scene is storyboard,I see nothing that requires 3d guidance here
0:00 - 0:12 tam
0:13 - end gareth

Nah. Berserk should be done by a dedicated Japanese team. The Jujutsu Kaisen team would be perfect for Berserk with guys like Sung Hoo Park or the team behind the new Fate/Grand Order movie.
Smooth but detailed. Castlevania has some great scenes but most have some choppiness to them that always makes them awkward to watch.
The 2D sakuga in the Berserk movies was great we simply need that consistency.

Castlevania season 4 had consistently better animation than JJK in my opinion
My only problem with Castlevania was the lack of inbetweens and key frames in most scenes. There would be tiny burst of great fluid animation and then the cut would become choppy. That's probably why they look flawless with 60 fps mods.
There's also the fact JJK has more hand to hand combat where as Castlevania is more weapon based so it definitely changes the choreography and direction.

I don't see at all how Park would be able to take Berserk's insane level of detail in art and make it work in his frenetic action animation style. Even if we're speaking of simplification of designs, it would still be quite the hurdle. Plus I can't really see Berserk looking good with the bad aesthetic choices that God of Highschool and JJK S1 had. I find it much more fitting if it was Shuhei Yabuta and the VS team on it, though on a second thought that would work more for a Vagabond adaptation instead.
