We never had see he doing fire animation on Gintama. His smoke is more easy to know.
Looking back, this also looks like Nikaido. Just from looking at the way Agumon is drawn, the fire effects and the very subtle smear effects on Agumon's claws in frames 238~240, it's very likely that this is him.
