This season is honestly really sad to see, it just feels like there's a huge lack of passion present at all. People say that it's cause they're working on the movie, but season 3 was in a similar situation and it wasn't this lackluster. Hell, this season had a whole year of production and it turned out like this. I honestly don't know how else to describe this season's adaptation besides just 'bland'.

it's probably cause they changed the director

This season has had some quality episodes (Especially 76), but it's true that the overall quality has decreased. But I do find it understandable considering the fact that the new movie's animation is best of the series. And to be honest, if they can pull off good (or even great) animation for the last episode, then in my opinion this season would be just barely under season 3. We'll see soon.

Everything in the movie up until the last few fights was ???. I mean, all the character acting was stiff- sure, the action animators popped off a few times but overall the movie felt more like a bland OVA. Doesn't take away from that last fight though, that was some nice shit.

tbh, the series was never really known for having good character acting scenes- Even the first movie had this issue in play.

How was this season bland, I understand that it has decreased in quality which is very much noticeable but the animation has still been as great as it’s always been, we should be happy we aren’t getting a situation like black clover which also has some good animation but terrible production and work quality. The season was honestly fine to me, to me I think the reason so much people are mad at the execution is bcuz the manga did it so well but honestly every moment in the manga is just many times better bcuz horikoshi is a great artist. Anime and manga are two different forms of media and some things from the anime aren’t gonna look as amazing as it does in the manga. To me the execution for this season was just as good as season 3 despite both suffering because of the movies.

Now you've got me worried. I'm scared about what's going to happen to the "Insane Fight." With the lower production values of this Season, one of the best moments of the entire series could possibly get ruined!
I'm no manga reader but the upcoming titles are
Ep 23: LET IT FLOW! SCHOOL FESTIVAL!
Ep 24: JAPANESE HERO BILLBOARD CHART (Pro Hero Arc)
Ep 25: HIS START!!!!!!!

and we are still supposed to have one yutaka nakamura scene ,but actually I was hoping he will do the festival performance

reread what i said, Season 3 also had a movie and it still looked more polished and well-directed than the current season, is my point.

Lol, it's been far from bland. Bones has really nailed the majority of key moments this season. Their have been some fumbles, but nowhere near worth calling the whole season bland over them.

I think the second film is much better animated than the first
