why was this reuploaded?
Quality was terrible on the original upload.
Nice re-upload... Reminds me of how horrible the blurring aged... God I hate the blurs so god damn much :/
I don't like naotoshi shida's stuff alot but this cut was so powerful
Legend has it, you can still hear the audio. Even though there is no audio.
"I WILL NOT LET YOU DESTROY MY WOOOOOOOOORLD"

..also the blur is god-awful. This is probably my favorite scene from him, but the blurring kinda messes it up

yeah it looks like one of those AI 60 fps videos lol.
Still i don't get why people are liking his style so much. It feels too smooth for me. Sorry for that, but for me that's feels like it was interpolated by AI (i know this sounds stupid and calling animation "AI" is cringe, but it feels like these 60 fps anime on youtube.)

Dude animates characters, backgrounds, all with crazy motion, absolutely inspired camera moves, and gets criticized for looking too smooth...

Calling A.I. interpolation isn't the right call. He just animates on a higher FPS.
It's not necessarily a higher FPS, since he uses the same timesheets as everyone else, he just specifies more inbetweens on them. You can refer to the genga video for his One Piece #1080 scene for how he keys his stuff these days.

If anything should be criticized it's the really horrible blur that's been applied to just about everything. Battle of Gods has pretty bad aesthetics in general...

Well, in Shida's works it is already common for there to be animated elements in 1s for some period of time while there are exaggerated "camera" movements. Both things combined undoubtedly generate a very peculiar sensation of the flow of movement.

The oldest example of this that I remember was his participation in Digimon Xros Wars
