This is better than the one in the actual episode, I hope the Blurays will use this instead
Wondering why this was replaced by just a static shot in the anime...

Why was this censored....
It wasn't censored. This episode was being worked on until only a few days before broadcast, so it's possible they kept the bare minimum of the cut they could to convey the movement of the gate opening and then trimmed out the rest. That way the departments most crammed (in-between, finishing, compositing, etc.) could prioritize other important and/or less difficult cuts that still needed work. Odds are we'll see it fixed in the Blu-ray, if they end up with time to make corrections...

That's definitely what happens, while there were amazing sequences in this episode, overall it wasn't as polished as I thought it would be, and both this and the last episode have a rushed vibe. The gate opening and gojo being captured part have very limited animation
They didn't change it to this on the blu-ray, shame

They didn’t have time for corrections. Some of the later episodes (mainly 17) are likely to have corrections but unfortunately the earlier episodes aren’t getting any cuz the BD volumes were being released during or too close to production

I have a feeling this was intentional, it looks so much more creepy the way they did it
