I wish Nakamura had the opportunity to work on more horror cuts like this. He's clearly really good at it.

Haven't watched this show in ages, though the fact I can still remember this scene so clearly speaks volumes of Nakamura's skill

This might be my favorite Nakamura cut, but it's such a difficult choice

I ended up rewatching the whole show just because of this scene. I hope we see Nakamura on different things and not just fights during S5 of MHA...

I feel you. I miss when nakamura got to show off his ability to contort his style to fit character acting, less effects- focused action, and horror-themed stuff like he did on Soul Eater. Obviously his new stuff is always fantastic, and he has improved noticeably since since Soul Eater in his signature style. Basically this is just a roundabout way of saying I wish he wasn't working on exclusively MHA.

I mean he had already been typecast a little bit even before he got brought on in Season 2. He really only got to KA anything other than action a handful of times working on Concrete Revolutio and he's all over that show, way more than MHA.

I guess I just want another Concrete Revolutio or Kekkai Sensen, where Nakamura is doing much more LO and KA and less animation direction. He is probably incredibly busy at all times on MHA, what makes me sad, because that sort of work doesn't show Yutapon's fingerprints very much. Though he is likely paid better as AD considering how experienced he is, in that case, the guy should obviously do whatever work he wants.

Yutaka Nakamura has never been credited as an AD on MHA. And the last time he was credited as an AD at all was Towa no Quon in 2011.
