Does anyone know the why at 0:9 to 0:15 and 0:18 to 0:23, there is this outline around the characters? I presume it was a side effect of creating the characters moving completely seperately from the background, but I'm not sure why this happens?

I imagine this happened because whoever was doing the paint work wasn't aware of the lighting needed for the scene, and they painted Joseph and Dio with color palettes that don't match the color of the background. The outlines could also be attributed to a sloppy paint job.
