Tate made me so happy with this episode's second half. Praise Tate.
Probably my favourite piece of work from him on this series, even if it's perhaps not as technically interesting as some of his other contributions.

Dragon Ball's action is so heavily based around looped frames that it's so rare that anyone makes that interesting. He did a fantastic job.

Side note: the art direction was superb, too.
I'm very much a layman when it comes to animation, but I feel like his work here looks much better than the early DBS clips.

Why is that?

The schedule has been somewhat fixed.I don't know how since i'm not the most educated person when it comes to anime production so hopefully someone else can explain it better than me.

The schedule just isn't a mess anymore. They're actually given the appropriate time necessary to bring their best.
Nice callback to his fight with Piccolo at 33 seconds in.
Ah, thanks for the explanation
The stretchy limbs are a bit jarring tbh but that's awesome.
I think those stretches are freaking delicious. They really improve the flow and power of each strike.
Naoki Tate's are the only DBS scenes I've enjoyed but I miss the scale from the Z series. Fights would take so much space and impacts would shatter the environment like ep 231.
Isn't the fist second or so from Miyuki Yokoyama?

It's just 2nd KA of Tate's work.
