Love that added detail of Asuka being rocked from side to side INSIDE her mecha as well. Now how many other animators bother to do that in other series, similar to this?

That's actually the thing I remember most from this fight. It's just so good at getting across the weight of the thing as she's struggling against her own controls to not fall backwards

the blurred focus is amazing considering this came out in 95. I dont think much were doing post effects like that back then. Anyone know if that is up to iso's instruction or ED/storyboarder?
